ITALDIMORA - Slow Living Vacations in Italy

Our story

This is our Italy.
The only one we’ve ever known.

Italy is our home, our marriage and the place we raised our children. ItalDimora is how we share it.

Gianni and Fanny among the vines and red geraniums
Gianni & Fanny

We are not tour guides who learned Italy from a book.

Fanny became a diplomat at eighteen, the youngest ever appointed by the Dominican Republic. In 1984 she arrived in Milan as Director for Touristic Affairs and helped open the first tourism ties between Italy and her country. Italy became her second home, and travel became her life’s work.

Gianni is Pugliese, born in the Valle d’Itria among the olive groves and trulli. We met in London, married in Alberobello and made our home in Naples, where we raised our children.

Our work and our family have carried us between Italy, Latin America and the United States, but Italy has always been the place we come back to. Today, from Pennsylvania, we run L4travel, our travel agency, and every year we return for months at a time to our house in Limatola, in the Campania countryside. Our son Jonathan shares it with us, and shares this venture too.

ItalDimora is our family sharing what we know best. Not a checklist. A home.

What we believe

The ItalDimora values

Know the place

We only take you where we have lived, eaten and returned to, again and again.

Know the people

The estates, artisans and families you meet are our friends, many for decades.

Never rush

Two weeks, two homes. Time to settle in is the whole point.

Family first

Every guest is welcomed the way we welcome our own family.
